  1. This is a nice LeMans painting

    Artist: Nicholas Watts

Featured Drivers: Helmut Marko, Vic Elford, Sam Posey, Richard Attwood

    Dimensions: 27.5 x 24

In a race of attrition, the Martini racing Porsche 917K driven by Gijs van Lennep and Dr. Helmut Marko scored a deserved victory from the similar JW entered machine of Attwood and Muller. The lightweight magnesium car took the lead in the 13th hour and after crossing the finish for the final time it had covered a total distance of 3315 miles at an average speed of 138 miles per hour, both Le Mans records. The scene depicts the winning car leading the third placed Ferrari 512M of Posey and Adamovicz and the Attwood and Muller Porsche as they negotiate Mulsanne corner.

Autographed by Helmut Marko, Vic Elford, Sam Posey, Tony Adamowicz, Gijs Van Lennep, David Hobbs and Richard Attwood
